Competitive Gymnastics

We are very proud to have a successful competitive programme within three gymnastic disciplines.

Acrobatic Gymnastics
Acrobatic Gymnastics is a gymnastics discipline where partnerships of gymnasts work together in pairs or trios to perform expressive floor routines to music which consist of acrobatic moves, dance and tumbling.

There are three types of floor routine; a balance routine where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility; a dynamic routine which includes, throws, somersaults and catches; and a combined routine which includes both balance and dynamic elements.

TeamGym
This discipline is a natural extension to Artistic Gymnastics and provides a great opportunity for those gymnasts who wish to focus on the most fun elements of competitive gymnastics.

Performing as a team on Floor, Tumble, Trampette and Vault, routines require effective teamwork, excellent technique and some spectacular acrobatic elements! Training and competition generate an exceptional team spirit amongst gymnasts with their routines, which are also performed to upbeat music, provide great excitement and entertainment for participants and spectators alike!

Tumbling
Tumbling is a truly breathtaking type of gymnastics. Its all about flips, somersaults and twists and linking them all together, one after the other to create a pass of up to 8 moves along a 25 meter sprung track.

If you already love to cartwheel or somersault, then this discipline may be the one for you.

How to get involved
Entry to any of our competitive squads is be invitation only. We hold annual trials as well as having a Talent ID Coach present at all of our Gym Kids Sessions. Alternatively, private trials can be arranged on an ad-hoc basis.
